This 100% Kalamansi Purée captures the vibrant, fresh and highly aromatic profile of one of Southeast Asia’s most distinctive citrus fruits.
Kalamansi is a very small citrus (2–3 cm in diameter), the fruit of the calamondin tree, resulting from a natural cross between mandarin and kumquat.
Its flavour profile is remarkably complex:
sweet, sharply acidic and intensely aromatic, evoking mandarin, bitter orange, lime and pink grapefruit all at once.
Due to its extremely thin and delicate skin, each fruit must be harvested by hand to preserve its quality.
Vietnam’s mountainous regions and high plateaus—covering nearly two-thirds of the country—provide ideal growing conditions for this fragile citrus.
