For its pear purée, Maison Ponthier has selected the Williams variety, renowned for its sweetness, juiciness, and musky aroma with subtle tart notes.
The purée perfectly reproduces the grainy texture of the white flesh and its intense fragrance.
The pears are sourced from orchards in Haute-Provence, where growers follow environmentally respectful cultivation and hand-pick the fruits at full ripeness under strict hygiene and safety standards.
The fertile and fresh (but not humid) soils of Haute-Provence provide the ideal terroir for pear trees, resulting in a naturally rich and sweet fruit (21° Brix).
